The Family Advocacy Program promotes family readiness, enhancing the health, welfare and morale for the Air Force family. Victim Advocate is located in Staff Judge Advocate offices. Victim Witness Assistance Program provides victim and witness information, victim rights and benefits advisement, and referral to victims groups or victim assistance programs. Members consider issues including tobacco cessation, nutrition, fitness, stress management, cancer and cardiovascular disease prevention and substance abuse prevention. Health Promotion Worksite Council is made up of representatives from the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Air Force Inspection Agency, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, 377th Services Squadron, 377th Medical Group and 377th Logistics Readiness Squadron. Members include 377th Security Forces Squadron, 377th Services Squadron, Airman and Family Readiness Center, 377th Medical Group, the chaplain’s office and the First Sergeants Council. Teen Forum Initiatives meets quarterly to discuss, review and take actions on issues concerning teenagers. The Transition/Relocation Assistance Coordinating Committee works to make Kirtland AFB Transition Assistance and Relocation Assistance programs accessible, effective and responsive to the needs of all DOD employees and their families. Agencies include the chapel, Airman and Family Readiness Center, Family Advocacy, Health and Wellness Center and child development and youth programs. The Integrated Delivery System is a group of helping agencies on the base that collaborate for outreach, marketing and presenting prevention programs for individuals and families. The Volunteer Advisory Council ensures the Kirtland AFB Volunteer Resource Program coordinates volunteer recruitment and ensures agencies train and recognize their volunteers. LSSC is a full-service outpatient mental health clinic that provides assessment and treatment of psychological problems.
